Alignment

From ardha matsyendrasana, turn toward extended leg, facing long side of mat. Press left hand down to mat, lift extended leg up and reach for outer foot with other hand. Inhale, lengthen through spine. Exhale lift hips up shifting forward with chaturanga arms.

Refinement

Flex upper feet and from your core, extend the leg strait (press foot actively into hand).
